Upcoming Events

This is the first bi-monthly meeting of the New York State Training and Development Council (NYSTDC) to be lead by the newly elected Executive Committee. Topics to be discussed include an overview of the Executive Committee's focus statement for 2009-2010 as well as committee reports from each of the committee chairpersons.

The Professional Development Program that follows the meeting, "Sharing Leadership in Planning Our Future," will be a facilitated discussion for members to discuss ideas for programs that can be offered in 2010. With the current fiscal problems that we face, it is more important than ever that we tap into our most vital resources (our membership) to shape the future trainers of New York State. This program will be facilitated by Deborah Berg (GOER) and will use small and large groups to brainstorm a list of program topics and will also include possible resources to implement topics. The Professional Development Program Committee (PDPC) is optimistically looking to expand the NYSTDC program offerings for 2010 to include technology to increase program accessibility to trainers in all parts of the state. Ideas and methods of how to do this effectively will also be discussed.

This is a free event for NYSTDC members. Participants are responsible for obtaining supervisory approval prior to attending.
