NYSTDC Annual Conference
| Description | The NYSTDC is an annual event for members. Through interactive workshops and networking with other members, participants gain new knowledge, share best practices of learning activities occurring in New York State, and discuss emerging trends in the field of learning and workplace development. The event will include opening and welcome remarks by Mr. Gary Johnson, Director of the Governor's Office of Employee Relations (GOER), followed by a keynote address delivered by Ms. Kathleen Caggiano-Siino, Executive Deputy Commissioner of the Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services (OASAS). Following with the Conference theme, "NYS Trainers got Talent!" Ms. Caggiano-Siino has outlined her address as a three-part play: Act 1: The Show Must Go On — Building, Developing, and Retaining Talent Right Now Act 2: You're a Little Pitchy — Learning and Development Trends and Innovations in other States (PEW Center on the States) Finale: It's All About You! — Professional Development for Training Professional The Conference's 90-minute concurrent workshops in the morning and 90-minute concurrent workshops in the afternoon have been developed with the intent to expand trainers' skills and expertise. The day also includes recognition and awards to outstanding individuals in the field of learning and workplace development. This is a free event for NYS employees. |

| Registration and Deadline | Register through NYS-Learn by Monday, September 28, 2009. Supervisor and travel approval must be obtained prior to registering. Travel reimbursement will follow participant's specific agency guidelines. The NYSTDC will not be responsible for travel reimbursement. |
