2009-2010 Focus Statement

Each year, the Executive Committee identifies goals they expect to accomplish during their one-year term in office. These goals are captured in a Focus Statement. The 2009-2010 Executive Committee Focus Statement is set forth below.

The 2009-2010 Executive Committee has established the following goals:

  1. Increase the number of professional development program offerings by 50. (3 were offered in 2008-2009)

  2. Partner with other educational entities to replace the existing Trainers Competency Track with an updated trainer's certification program. Make the new certification program available in 2010.

  3. Partner with other committees in establishing a Capital District logistical resource database (posted on NYSTDC website) including information related to: rooms, locations, capacities, equipment, parking, building security, room contact, and reservation directions.

  4. Reestablish and strengthen communication, connection, and collaboration with the Western, Central, and Downstate NY Regional Committees.

This Focus Statement should serve as a guide to the NYSTDC committees in planning their activities for the 2009-2010 year.
